Guidelines for Authors
Praagya Dhara is a peer-reviewed research journal published annually by the Dr. Dilip Kumar Kalita Foundation. The journal welcomes original research articles and papers in the fields of Social Sciences and Humanities, with a primary focus on the following areas:- Folklore
- Culture
- Performing Arts
- Literature
- Language
- Fine Arts
Submission Specifications
- Word Limit: The paper should not exceed 5000 words and must be written in English.
- Formatting:
- Typed in Times New Roman, 12-point font
- Double-spaced
- 3 cm margins on all sides
- A4 size paper
- Images: Photographs or drawings must be submitted in JPG format.
- References: End notes and references should follow APA style.
- Abstract and Keywords: An abstract (max 150 words) and relevant keywords should be placed at the beginning of the paper.
- Author Profile: A brief profile of the author (max 150 words) must be included at the end of the paper, along with the author’s postal address.
- Diacritical Marks: For papers containing diacritical marks, any special font file used should be sent with the paper.
- Submission:

- Hard Copy: A printed version should be mailed to Dr. Dilip Kumar Kalita Foundation, Birubahar, Jalukbari, Guwahati, Assam, PIN-781014.
- Note: Submissions via other means will not be accepted for review.
Plagiarism Policy
All submissions must be checked for plagiarism using Urkund. The plagiarism report must accompany the paper. Papers with more than 10% plagiarism will not be considered for publication.Review Process
Only original, unpublished work will be considered for publication. The review process includes:- Pre-Review: An initial assessment by the editorial team. Papers outside the journal’s scope will be immediately rejected.
- Peer Review: Selected papers will undergo a peer review process. Reviewers’ identities will remain confidential.
- Approved for Publication: Papers that require no significant changes.
- Requires Minor Revision: Papers that can be published with minor adjustments based on reviewer suggestions.
- Requires Major Revision: Papers needing substantial modifications. These will only be published after necessary changes are made or justifications for denial are provided, subject to the review committee’s satisfaction.
- Rejected: Papers that are summarily rejected based on reviewer feedback.
